Let your Voice Rise: A Frame Drum and Vocal Odyssey

The Desert Rose Mystery School opens the Temple Doors to the Desert Rose Music and Voice Academy.

I began drumming at the age of 17, and over the past two years, I have devoted myself to in-depth studies in Frame Drum and music. During this time, I chose to take a step back from teaching Frame Drum in order to fully integrate and embody the depth of these teachings. My recent studies have been enriched by learning under several master teachers from Israel and Turkey, allowing me to deepen both my technical skill and spiritual connection to the instrument.

Find your Rhythm and Voice

Learn foundational to intermediate frame drumming techniques while awakening your sacred voice through rhythm, chant, and creative expression.
This course weaves voice and drum with elemental rhythm, movement, and embodiment — guiding you to express, compose, and pray with the pulse of your body.
Let your voice become rhythm. Let your rhythm become embodied prayer.

Are these words that you may be repeating to yourself:

I want to learn how to play the Frame Drum but I don’t know where to start.

I would love to drum with others creating Drumming Circles but I don’t know where to start.

I want to boost my energy and health and mental and clarity in a holistic manner.

I want to express myself creatively yet I don’t know where to start.

I want to be able to play and create rhythms to chants and medicine songs.

I feel a connection to the Drum as the presence of Shekhinah, the Divine Feminine Presence.

The Frame Drum is not only my passion, but also my prayer and sacred companion.

Considered the first instrument ever created, the drum connects us to the primal rhythm of life. We are all born drummers—the first sound we hear in this world is the heartbeat of our mother.

In the Biblical and Kabbalistic traditions, the Frame Drum is a symbol of the Shekhinah, the indwelling Divine Feminine Presence. It was played by the prophetess Miryam, sister of Moses, who used it to call down the Holy Spirit in celebration and prophetic ecstasy.

Historical and mystical sources also reveal that the Essenes, Yeshua, and Mary Magdalene engaged in prayer and sacred ritual with drums. This ancient instrument carries the voice of devotion, transmission, and embodiment, echoing across generations as a bridge between heaven and earth.

Drumming is a powerful pathway to reconnect with your innate creativity, awaken the sacred flame of desire, and embody rhythmic prayer. It restores alignment, supports mental and emotional well-being, and opens the gateway to Divine Union.

With over 25 years of experience teaching in diverse environments—as a Dance Movement Therapist, Creative Arts Educator, and since 2012, as the Founder of the Desert Rose Mystery School—I have spent the many years developing my own methodology for teaching the Frame Drum and Voice as Channeled Art. This approach allows you to learn in a deeply organic, intuitive, and embodied way, honoring both ancient traditions and modern somatic wisdom.

3-Month
Frame Drum Training Program

A 3-Module Comprehensive Video Course for Beginners and Intermediate Practitioners

This immersive 3-month program is designed for beginners and intermediate-level drummers who are ready to awaken their rhythmic voice. Whether you’re new to frame drumming or seeking to deepen a foundational practice, this course offers a well-rounded journey into technique, composition, movement, and vocal expression. Rooted in both traditional rhythms and intuitive embodiment, you’ll cultivate musical confidence while merging drum, voice, and body into one sacred instrument.

Curriculum Overview:

Rhythms of the Elements: The Four Pillars of Pulse
Learn the foundational strokes of the frame drum and their elemental correspondences — Earth (Dum), Water (Ka), Fire (Tek), and Air (Pa). These are not merely percussive sounds, but living frequencies that awaken your connection to the natural world and the body temple.

Elemental Composition Practice
Create sacred rhythms inspired by the four elements. Learn to compose patterns that move like water, burn like fire, ground like earth, and soar like air. Each beat becomes a prayer, each phrase a ritual of embodiment.

Rhythmic Permutations: Pulse as Creation Codes
Internalize sacred rhythms in — 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 — as vibrational archetypes and gateways of consciousness. In the tradition of Aramaic –  Hebrew mysticism and sacred sound, each number holds a frequency, a gematria, a divine attribute. Each rhythm becomes a carrier of light. Through these sacred pulses, you awaken dormant pathways of remembrance.

Desert Rose Rhythms: Sacred Cycles of Devotion
Enter the timeless pulse of the Desert Rose Rhythms portals and Transmissions of the memory of ritual processions,  drumming circles, and temple dances. We will enter the mystical heartbeat of the Divine Feminine Presence and awaken the body’s innate wisdom. Ecstasy, remembrance, and communion will be our spiral that returns us to Source.

Sacred Composition: Channeling the Beat
Move from repetition into revelation. Learn to compose your own sacred rhythms through layering, phrasing, and intuitive pulse. Drumming becomes a creative act — a way to birth light into form.

Voice and Drum Integration
In this module, we enter the alchemy of breath and rhythm, the place where the drum becomes a vessel and the voice becomes light. Through ancient practice, you will learn to weave chant, mantra, sacred words, and spontaneous prayer into your drumming, allowing sound to rise from the womb of silence. We draw inspiration from the Aramaic language — the mother tongue of Yeshua, Mary Magdalene, Mother Mary, and the early mystics. You will also explore how to layer the frame drum pulse with vocal vibration, allowing them to move as one. This is the sacred union of rhythm and breath, a return to the ancient temples where the great priestesses, priests and mystics sang the world into being.

Embodiment Through Movement

Awaken rhythm in the body through movement practices that enhance coordination, grounding, and spiritual presence. We will be learning Flamenco as part of our Warm Ups so as to embody rhythm in a holistic manner. We will also be studying the history of the Frame Drum.

Creating a Drumming and Voice Ceremony

Learn how to design and facilitate a sacred ritual using frame drum, voice, and intention—holding space for healing, transformation, and devotion.
