The Ninefold Path of the Holy Mother is a sacred nine-day devotional journey that invites you to walk intimately with Mother Mary and enter the mystery through which the divine becomes alive within the human soul.
Through prayer, sacred embodiment practices, ritual devotion, and mystical teachings, this journey opens the heart to the transforming presence of the Holy Mother.
Across nine days we will walk a devotional path that mirrors the journey of incarnation itself, the sacred descent through which divine light enters the human world and takes form within the soul.
In the ancient mystical traditions surrounding the birth of Mother Mary, preserved in early Christian writings such as the Protoevangelium of James, Mary is described as a child dedicated to the Divine from her earliest days. Raised within the sanctuary of the Temple, she is portrayed as one whose entire life becomes a living vessel of presence, a being whose purity of heart allows heaven and earth to meet within her.
Mystics have long understood that Mary repre reveals a universal spiritual truth:
the human soul is capable of becoming a dwelling place for the Divine.
Through her sacred yes, eternity enters time.
Through her womb, spirit becomes flesh.
Through her heart, divine compassion flows into the world.
This devotional journey invites you to enter that same mystery.
Rather than approaching Mother Mary only through theology or history, we encounter her as a living spiritual presence, a guide of the heart who continues to accompany the awakening of human consciousness.
This journey
unfolds through nine spiritual activations, each representing a stage in the soul’s transformation and embodiment of divine life:
- a mystical Marian teaching
- a devotional prayer and mantra (Aramaic, Hebrew, Greek, Latin)
- a contemplative embodiment practice
- sacred ritual elements that anchor the experience in the body and heart
You will also be guided through a Myrraphore Mother Mary Ceremony, inspired by the ancient tradition of the Biblical Oils Mysteries. In this ceremony you will create and consecrate a Mother Mary anointing oil, a symbol of devotion, healing, and spiritual consecration.
Throughout the nine days you will also create a personal offering to Mother Mary, cultivating a living devotional altar that becomes a place of prayer, gratitude, and inner communion.
The embodiment practices offered in this Novena are a new and sacred creation within the Desert Rose Mystery School.
In recent months I have been immersed in the mystical teachings of Teresa of Ávila, exploring the contemplative traditions connected to her path of interior prayer. Saint Teresa taught that the soul encounters the Divine through the whole being—heart, breath, and body.
Inspired by this wisdom, each day of the devotional will include a practice of Danza Contemplativa.
In this way, the Devotional Journey becomes more than a practice of reflection. It becomes a living prayer of the whole being, where devotion flows not only through words, but through movement, breath, and the quiet language of the heart.
This journey is far more than a reflection on Mother Mary’s life, it is an embodied path of transformation through which we will receive the Nahsaq, “kiss”, the spiritual transmission of Mother Mary.
By walking the Ninefold Path of the Holy Mother, you are invited to rediscover your own capacity to become vessels of divine love—allowing the sacred to take form not only in prayer, but in the way we live, breathe, and embody compassion in the world.
Mother Mary reminds us of a profound mystery:
The divine does not only dwell in heaven.
It longs to be born within the human heart.
This journey is an invitation to say yes to that birth.
